The origin of this mutation is unknown, and perhaps dates back to the time when the predecessors coexisted with our kind. The curse appears to be a form of diminutization, or Dwarfism, of the Elven form. The curse seems to heighten their mental acuity but at the cost of other physical aptitudes. Their rarity is certainly a function of Elven culture and the offers of such infants to the Fairies or other Fey kind or their vital termination. We have successfully removed this corruption from Gith Essence, but this affliction and diminutization could be useful as a way to offset work efficiency for metabolic efficiency.
